COP 19

One of the strongest typhoons ever recorded, Haiyan hit Philippines and took away around 8,000 lives, leaving around 2 million people homeless during the COP 19 in Warsaw. Distressed by Haiyan-caused destructive consequences, the representative of the Philippines government Nadereve Yeb Sano began fasting at the COP 19 to call the parties to bring about meaningful and accountable outcomes by 2015 to tackle climate change.

ICE Network also joined the march for climate justice along with gender, youth, faith groups, and so on and inter-faith coordinating meeting.
